WHAT WE DO
• TS2 is focused on understanding each client’s unique needs. This enables us to leverage our experience and relationships to lead our clients through critical business, legal, tax, accounting, operations, regulatory and procurement issues necessary to achieve fundraising, investment and expansion goals.
• Advise on the structure, negotiation, and launch of investment funds and their underlying deals and financings, address the needs of key investors and advise on the creation or expansion of diversified investment management platforms.
• Enhance client resources by serving as an outsourced chief operating officer for fund launches, new product development, deal structuring, capital raising, financings, exits, fund restructurings and related situations.
• Advise on customized structures (such as funds-of-one or separately managed accounts), fund financings, liquidity solutions, securitizations, fund workouts and restructurings and strategies to address complex fund situations (such as end-of-fund-life issues, investor defaults and key person events).

Todd Shenkin
Todd Shenkin is the founder and managing director of TS2 Capital Advisors. During his nearly 25-year legal career, Mr. Shenkin was an advisor and active principal participant in over 500 institutional investment transactions, including situations involving over 300 private investment funds.
Before founding TS2, Mr. Shenkin spent eighteen years at MetLife, where he was Vice President & Associate General Counsel and, most recently, the lead private investment funds and product development lawyer for MetLife Investment Management, which then had $152 billion AUM. For many years, Mr. Shenkin was MetLife’s lead lawyer for its alternative investments, mezzanine debt, structured finance and residential credit strategies on global investment portfolios then valued at over $75 billion.
+Mr. Shenkin began his career as an attorney at Jones Day in the areas of mergers and acquisitions and securities law and then at the Manhattan law firm of Shereff, Friedman, Hoffman & Goodman LLP (merged with Dechert LLP) where he focused on private equity, venture capital, mezzanine finance, mergers and acquisitions and securities law.
Mr. Shenkin received his BA in Political Science and History from Stony Brook University (SUNY) and received his JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law, where he was a member of the Law Review and was elected to the Order of the Barristers. Mr. Shenkin also holds his FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 registrations through GT Securities, Inc. (member FINRA/SIPC) and is a member of both the New York and Pennsylvania bars.
